Art Safari Pledge Workshop @ Wolftrax, Laggan (2025)

An immersive, creative and practical amble through the rich, laden, landscape of the forest as part of ‘Pledge | Process | Planet’

Context:

‘Cairngorms 2030 is putting the power to tackle the climate and nature crises in the hands of people who live, visit & work in the UK’s largest national park by creating a transformational vision for the Cairngorms’

Cairngorms National Park Authority (CPNA)

The ‘Pledge | Process | Planet’ exhibition at OPENSPACE Gallery, in Grantown-on-Spey, was a Cairngorms 2030 programme commission.

Aimed at sparking conversations, connecting landscapes and communities, whilst inspiring collective action for a sustainable future through art.

The programme displayed artworks, films and provocations, within the gallery setting, whilst also delivering a series of workshops across the park.

‘It was wonderful. I give other people permission to be creative a lot of the time, so it was nice to have that returned. Just to be, to breathe and connect with nature, in such a stunning place, with a wonderful host.’

‘Putting expression on paper using marks is new to me as I am more comfortable journaling but I surprised myself!’

‘Being in nature, meeting new people, time to reflect. Robyn created a wonderful atmosphere of trust and the contributions were wonderful’

“I loved that there were so many parallels with a yoga practice - breathing, reflection, slowing down.”

Art Safari Pledge participant.
